Radish is one of the first spring vegetables. If you do not have a chance to feast on young radishes in the spring, you can harvest them in the fall.

For the radish to remain not only tasty but also healthy, it must be properly prepared. After preparation, it is stored according to proven recommendations, which we will discuss a little later.

Cleaning is best done in the morning. At this time, the roots do not have time to heat up too much in the sun. Sorting radishes, only mature and rot-free vegetables, with a whole skin, are left for storage.

If radish is to be stored for a long time, it is recommended to plant it on August 1-5, which is important for the central strip.

 If planting is to be late, it can be harvested after 6-8 weeks. It should also be noted the length and appearance of the green of the ripe root vegetable with a strong and crisp skin of about 2 cm.

They should not be stored for long periods to allow water to drain from the succulents. Medium-sized radishes grown in your garden and not bought in the store are best.

The optimal temperature is 0-1 degrees of heat. The level is 90-95%. You can pour water on the bottom. 

Storage is carried out in strong boxes with a capacity of up to 20. In them should be poured peat or sand. Above it comes a layer of ash or dry plaster.

It is allowed to put vegetables on shelves and sprinkle them with sand. It is recommended to mix it with lime or gypsum, 1 weight of lime for every 50 of their income. Instead of sand, sawdust is also suitable.

Under domestic conditions, it is not possible to freeze radish. At a temperature of -18 to -24 degrees it spoils and loses its useful properties. 

High-quality freezing requires special equipment in which it is possible to use the so-called shock freezing, that is, the presence of a temperature indicator at -40 degrees.

Peeled and chopped root plants are blown into the air for 10 minutes. Then it is not able to crystallize and stimulate your favorite vegetables. Therefore, it hardens and retains its appearance and flavor.

In the beginning, it is delicious. Vitamin salad of radish, after being very boring, one of the first on our table is the growth of canned vegetables .

 but because of the shortness of the season, enjoy your favorite. Spring salad will not last long.

Of course, throughout the year, you can plant and grow this vegetable many times, but unfortunately, this product does not lend itself to canning or freezing, which does not allow it to be eaten in the winter.

Radish could be a product of the cold season, which develops excellently within a few days. The lowest temperature for seed germination is 5°C and the highest is 35°C.

 The ideal temperature for seed germination is between 13 and 30°C. Below or above this, the seeds germinate gradually.

The tastiest and crispest radishes grow in moderately cool conditions. That is, at 10-21 °C. You can easily grow radishes in a temperature range from 5 °C to 32 °C.
